I want to get Climate Credits
Climate Credits are a new unit designed to facilitate investments in nature-based solutions in Catalonia, within the framework of voluntary compensation or corporate social responsibility initiatives.
For forest managers, they represent an income diversification option to finance their forest management, derived from the assessment of the benefits that this forest management brings to society.
For companies, the Climate Credit program represents a safe and rigorous way to channel their contribution, which, at the same time, offers them visibility and transparency.
Planning at the landscape level is the basis from which the Climate Change Mitigation and Adaptation Forestry Projects (PROMACC) are prepared, which are the vehicle for the transaction of climate credits in the new voluntary market. We understand PROMACC as voluntary operational projects that contribute to ensuring and valuing the forest ecosystem services offered by a certain territory; These projects are built based on participatory planning at the landscape level, which establishes priorities under mitigation/adaptation criteria, in accordance with the development objectives of that specific territory.
With the registration to this form you will receive information to participate in some of the Pilot Studies presented.
